First State Ringers is an advanced handbell choir affiliated with Newark United Methodist Church in Newark Delaware. Our mission is to introduce audiences to the varied repertoire of handbell music since, contrary to popular belief, handbells are not solely used for ringing holiday music. We are an auditioned group performing throughout the New Castle County and Cecil County areas.
If you are looking for an opportunity to join in delighting our many audiences, rehearsals are held Tuesdays, 7-8:30PM at Newark United Methodist Church, 69 E. Main Street in Newark, DE. In addition to their own concerts, the ensemble has played at Longwood Gardens, Christmas in Odessa, and several weddings.
